The Zambian economy is at a critical juncture. The latest economic indicators such as stable FX, reducing interest and inflation rates and improved corporate results are pointing towards green shoots emerging. A strong indicator that the worst is more or less behind and the economy seems to be in recovery mode. However, sustaining these trends will depend on how disciplined government will be in aligning fiscal and monetary policies with the need to regulate for market stability and investment harmony.
With this year’s theme, implementing drivers and enablers for financial and impact returns, the Africa Alternative Investment Intensive (AAII) – 2018 Zambian Forum will enable critical and thought-provoking discussions on how long-term asset owners (pension funds and insurers) and private market stakeholders can play a vital role in facilitating strong economic growth for a sustainable period. The forum is aligned with The Government of Zambia's vision of inclusive and accelerated Development.
Held under the Chatham House Rule, the AAII – 2018 Zambian Forum will bring together a carefully selected ecosystem of investment professionals and industry stakeholders to examine what works and what doesn't work when investing in Zambia's private markets and alternative assets (infrastructure debt, real estate, alternative credit, private equity and debt). The forum will highlight investable strategies, executable themes and showcase select investment opportunities.
