OVERVIEW

Institutional investors across African markets, particularly Nigeria continue to experience persistent volatility due to uncertainty in the financial markets, low business confidence and gloomy economic growth forecast. This is exacerbated by the decline in commodity prices and currency weakness that’s impacting investment returns.
Given the uncertain outlook that’s likely to prevail in the region, the Africa Alternative Investment Intensive (AAII) – 2017 Nigeria Form seeks to explore the key themes capital owners, investment funds and managers anticipate to impact and drive long–term investment into alternative asset classes and infrastructure projects in Nigeria.

Themed Navigating New Paths to Growth, and by invitation–only, the forum will bring together a carefully selected ecosystem of investment professionals and industry stakeholders to examine what works and what doesn't work when investing in Southern Africa. The forum will highlight investable strategies, executable themes and showcase vetted investment opportunities across the region.

The forum is a “talk-show free” open forum driven by knowledge sharing on alternative investing in Nigeria, with emphasis on showcasing product innovations, structures and pooled investment vehicles for portfolio diversification and risk-adjusted returns.
